Being followers of Christ and worshipping Him continues to be a purpose and goal of all that is taught through the various fine arts at The Dovetail Group and Dovetail House.   The Leadership skills and education equip individuals for successful lives in their communities, with their families, and in the workplace.

The Dovetail House (the storehouse of plenty) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit company incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia in the categories of religious, educational, and charitable.  The Dovetail House is a public charity where your tax-deductible contributions can be designated to one of several ministries:

Donations to Freedom . . . Inside and Out (the jail ministry) provide Bibles and Leadership curriculum for inmates.  Funds also help with basic needs and expenses for inmates transitioning back into the community.  Some of those expenses are tuition for job training, attendance for the Leadership class outside of jail, bus tokens, first month's rent in transition housing, and food and clothing.   Program expenses for staff and volunteers who provide day-to-day hands on assistance to inmates and families come from contributions.   

Donations to His Handmaids, the interpretive worship troupe, support the traveling ministry. Contributions allow participation to be available for all girls regardless of background or family income.  His Handmaids exists solely through individual contributions. 

A card for such giving is available for download (click here).  Indeed there are times and seasons of giving and receiving, and only sometimes is that commodity financial.  Both giving and receiving are necessary experiences that bring humble rewards and sheer joy to our daily lives.  Experience and obedience confirms that being a receiver enables us to be tender and joyous givers.  So as we all come to the “storehouse,” some to give and some to receive, let it be a joyous place of friendships where grace and graciousness meet.
